Breast Cancer:
Breast cancer is the most frequent type of cancer in women in the world, the first in the world among women around the world. breast cancer is caught at least 20,000 women each year in Turkey.

The first sign of breast cancer; is the formation of a mass in the mammary gland that most women often notice during hand examination. The role of early recognition in breast cancer treatment is very important, and precautions to ensure early diagnosis are indispensable. In order for this cancer, which may be fatal, to be detected in a treatable state, women must make breast examinations by hand every month. In addition to this, it is necessary to examine the mammals during the gynecology examination which is held every year. Also, women over the age of 50 are recommended to have mammography paws every year. Due to the younger age and frequent occurrence of breast cancer in our country, mammography controls can be started at the age of 40-45 years.

Among the factors that increase breast cancer risk are; age at onset, breast cancer story at family, fibrocystic disease, initiation of menstruation at an early age, entry into menopause in advanced age and childbirth or late birth, breastfeeding, using contraceptive pill or estrogen hormone for a long time, overweight after menopause and exposure to radiation countable. Women with such medical backgrounds must tell their physician about the situation. In women with these risk factors, early mammography checks may begin to be performed.

When breast cancer is detected, the treatment is determined by the type of tumor and the degree of progression. Approximately all patients are treated surgically. Radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and other targeted therapies may be administered together or separately. The most important point in the treatment is the early detection of the tumor and a complete recovery is possible in early diagnosis. However, these controls, which are very important, are not regularly performed in our country, so diagnosis is usually delayed and the results can be sad.

Genital Cancer Types:

Genital cancers like cancers of the uterus and cervix are also common in Turkish women. Considering the importance of the subject to increase by 1-2 percent each year than cancer in Turkey is increasing.

In women, cancer can develop in all areas of the reproductive system, including the vulva, vagina, cervix, uterus, tubers and ovaries. Cervical cancer and uterine cancer are among the cancer types in the first line. It is suggested that gynecology examination and smear test should be done regularly every year in order to detect these cancers at an early stage. Cervical cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide. It is among the top ten most common cancers in our country and 1300-1500 new cases are diagnosed annually. The smear test allows for early detection of wounds that can lead to cancer at the cervix, and prevention of cancer before it develops. In addition, cervical cancer early diagnosis is expected to be fully healed. In addition, routine papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination in some countries can prevent lesions developing in the cervix.

In addition to interfering with the annual controls, it is necessary to refer to the doctor as soon as possible, after intermittent bleeding, bleeding after sexual intercourse, changes in menstrual patterns, bleeding after menopause, vaginal discharge, pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse.
Cancer is diagnosed by biopsy in the presence of cancer, and the treatment is determined according to cancer type and disease. Techniques such as ultrasonography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, bone scintigraphy are used to determine the cancer stage. Surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy can be applied in the same way alone or together.
