Many fearful breast pain can have many causes other than cancer. Beyoglu Special Austria Sen Jorj Hospital General Surgery Specialist Op. Dr. Mehmet Öztürk explains the types of breast sores and how these sores can be prevented.
In women, breast pain is one of the most common complaints about the breast. The pain can be at different ratios in one or two mammals. The greatest fear of patients suffering from meme pain is the possibility of cancer. In fact, there is no direct relationship between breast pain and cancer. In addition to many findings of breast cancer, there is very little pain in the mammary gland. The cause of mammary pain is the pathology of the breast itself, as well as the diseases that occur in the muscles, joints and bones around the breast.
There are two types of pain, which are related to menstrual cycle (periodic = related to menstruation) and non-menstrual (non-menstrual, continuous = nonperiodic).
Pain related to menstruation (Periodic = related to menstruation) Pain
One of the hormone-sensitive organs is also a memory. The estrogen and progesterone hormone secreted from the ovaries after regl (menstruation) prepares the milk to give the milk. These hormones cause the growth and proliferation of milk channels and milk-making cells in the breast. For this reason, before menstruation, the breast causes tension by increasing water retention and volume. With the onset of menstruation, the constellations that form in the breast return to involution and back to normal. These cell proliferation and involution end fibrocystic structures occur in the meme. In the pre-gestational period, torture and pain are normal. With the beginning of menstruation pain and tension disappear. Sometimes it can be seen that the intensity increases. 70-80% of breast sores are seen in this way. Causes of periodic aches that appear more commonly in the 30-40 age range include hormonal (estrogen and progesterone) changes / regl disorders, increase of prolactin hormones, birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy during menopause, stress, sadness, saline diet, excess caffeine intake and fatty foods .
Non-menstrual (non-menstrual, continuous = nonperiodic) pain
Nonperiodic pain occurs without regard to the periods of the breast. The pain is felt in a specific area of the mammary gland and is usually seen in 40-50 years of age. Pain is sometimes felt on the shoulder, the shoulder or the armpit. In addition, pain in the shoulder, arm, or nasolabial disease is felt in the nipple. Trauma, fast-growing macrocysts in the mammary gland, fibroadenoma, inflammation of the breast, inflammation of the milk ducts and the formation of fat necrosis in the large mammals lead to mammary pain. In addition, myalgia, rheumatic arthritis in the shoulder joints are also felt in the breast.
When does breast soreness and breast sensitivity cause cancer?
Many cancer masses are painless until they grow. However, breast pain is only one place and perseverance increases the doubt of breast cancer regardless of the size of the breast.
What will be done in diagnosis and treatment of breast soreness?
• Although pain is a rare symptom of breast cancer, treatment begins after it is determined that there is no breast cancer with the medical evaluation made.
• For this purpose; first a breast exam is required by a General Surgeon.
• Breast ultrasound in women under 40 years of age and mammography and breast ultrasound in over 40 years of age. Mammography can be done after 35 years of age in women who have a risk factor (especially those with a history of breast cancer in their family) or when it is considered necessary by the physician.
Mastalgia usually does not require treatment if the pain associated with premenstrual tension is not severe. Methylcytylendene (coffee, tea, chocolate, cola) can be seen away from the breast pain and decreased swelling can be seen. However, many women say that they do not benefit from this dietary change. Moderate salt restriction, moderate diuretics and nonsteroidal pain relievers are often effective. In recent years, preparations containing "monk, agnus castii" (agnucaston) have also been used frequently.
If the woman does not benefit from these simple measures and the pain is severe, hormonal medication can be applied by the doctor.
Various hormonal drugs are successfully used in the treatment of breast pain. In this regard, hormonal drugs are drugs that can also have side effects. It is absolutely necessary to use them for physician control.
